Gallant VPS Troubleshooting Questions

The Gallant VPS Troubleshooting Section helps Mangers troubleshoot the three basic issues that may arise while using the Gallant VPS.

  1. Issues with no metatrader after logging into the account and/or an icon displaying missing plug-in
  2. Issues with Internet Explorer
  3. Browser crashes while using the VPS

1. Issues with no metatrader after logging into the account and/or an icon displaying missing plug-inA. There could be old or unsupported Java on your computer, or no Java software installed.

In this case, Users are requested to navigate to the Java Download page.  It will identify the version of Java installed on your computer, or if Java is not installed on your computer.   Download the most updated version of Java available on this same page.

B. Firewall/Anti-Virus/ISP is blocking the Application or Port for the Gallant VPS.

Client needs to unblock the application/port from their Anti-Virus/Firewall in
order to access the Gallant VPS from their browser.

In the case of Port Block issue, Login to your Gallant VPS Account and navigate to “Manage this VPS” and Click on “Mobile Access”. It should show the Port Number Associated to that account. You will need to ensure that this Port Number is opened with the ISP provider for any block or check for that port block on your local computer within the Firewall/Anti Virus.

2. Issues with Internet Explorer

There can be certain performance issues while using older versions of Internet Explorer. This is due to the limited support of Java based applications on Internet Explorer. For optimal usability, we always recommend using the Mozilla FireFox browser or Google Chrome Browser. They can be downloaded from here and here
respectively.

Download Google Chrome Browser
